About Healbot

Hey guys , to all healers in the guild i just wanted to post something about Healbot continued which is a absolutely great addon that i think that as many as possible should try out . It will make your healing go alot smoother and easier then without it! What makes it good is basically that it is very simple and it deffinitely makes your healing a whole lot easier. What the addon does is that it adds a moveable box to your screen in which the names of all the players that you are in a group/raid with, you can customize this box in many different ways to make it smaller or bigger etc. Then theres the real beauty of this with it you can set your mouse buttons to different heals(one on each button) that when you click on one of the names in this box with one of your buttons you will cast a heal on this person, this makes it alot faster to heal people and is overall good. One more very good thing about this addon is that you can set it so that when anyone in your group gets some sort of aggro that persons name will be highlighted in bright colours so you can easy notice who needs to be healed. you can also target a player simply by pressing control+mouse button on their name in the box. Of course theres alot of other good healing addons out there and you may like one of them better, but in my opinion this (healbot) is one of the best addons for healing out there so try it ! You will love it!

Oh and one more thing this addon is very hard to understand how you customize the settings at first, so if any1 needs help setting it just ask me in game or here and i will tell my settings that a former guildmate told me when i first started using the addon.

When i played priest in the early TBC days, i used an addon named "clique", it works in almost the same way.
Also i started to use RDX(i think that's what it's called) which is a really advanced raiding mod - if you're interrested in trying this out i'll try to help you out. I'm not gonna descripe what it can do, since it's is really advanced!

Anyways, Minitauron got a point, those addons improves your healing a lot.

Ok im going to post some of the healbot settings here if anyone is interested , if you want to know more just ask me in game.
Theese are my personal settings:
First when you have gotten healbot you should find the healbot icon thats located on the edge of the minimap in the upper right corner, its easy to find. Then press the tab called "skins" first of all and in there change the settings to: "Show headers" off, texture 6 and width 65%. Then the Bar options, "texture" 8, no.columns 5(this is a very important one), "Height" 17 and "width" 90, then "Row spacer" 1 and "column spacer" 3. finally the most important settings the opacity bars, set "bar opacity" at 85%, then "incoming heals opacity" at 40 and then disabled opacity at 15%. If you put in theese settings the addon will look alot better then when you first get it(then it will just be a long line of names in a row, very ugly), and ofc play around with the settings abit if you want and see if you can find some better settings( if you do plz post them here).

After you fixed the settings you should move on to the "Spells" tab in the healbot options here immediately disable the "smartcast out of combat" buttom at the bottom of the page imo, this is a super annoying function so keep it of. Then on the same tab under "Spells" you can set what spells you want heals you want to bind to your mouse buttons.

when you´ve done this your basically all set and you can see what an amazing addon this is! !
